              Learning activities
              Students will receive 3 hours of lecture/demonstration per week that includes independent work and one-on-one instruction. Guest speakers and field trips to A/V studios and equipment rental shops may be included.
Course description
              This course is a practical guide to multimedia technology and public presentation.  The relationships of space, equipment and how to best relay the message and experience will be studied.  Equipment will include projectors, screens, cameras, presentation software, computers, scalers, monitors and human interface devices.   Students will be introduced to multimedia for theatres, art galleries, museums and public presentations.

Learning outcomes
              At the end of the course, the successful student should be able to:
- understand the mechanics of video projection
- understand video production technology
- demonstrate competency in the use of video projection for public presentation
- demonstrate competency in the use of presentation software
