Fees
ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½covers your BorderPass membership and legal fees for your initial study permit application​, as well as a study permit extension and post-graduate work permit (PGWP)​. You are only responsible for standard government processing fees.

With BorderPass, you’ll receive lawyer-reviewed study permit services, secure document storage, deadline reminders and ongoing immigration support - all included​ ​during your studies at ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½at no extra cost (you only pay government fees).
You’ll receive an invitation from ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½with instructions on how to create your BorderPass account and begin your study permit application.
You can opt-out of using BorderPass at any time. Please note that if you choose to stop using BorderPass you will lose full access to the Document Vault & Application Hub, notifications of key dates, your relationship with BorderPass Canadian immigration lawyers, ongoing Express Entry tracking, and other newcomer essential services.
BorderPass is available to all international students who need assistance with filing for a study permit.
Your BorderPass access includes a study visa permit application and the following services:

- Post Refusal Support for applicants that receive a refusal and are looking to re-apply or pursue judicial review, a process whereby BorderPass can file an appeal on your behalf in Federal Court in hopes of overturning your refused application
- Newcomer essential services through BorderPass’s trusted service providers and Membership benefits SIN registration, high-level tax advising to maximize credits, and preferred rates on follow-on visa services such as study permit extensions, co-op permits, work permits, spousal permits, family support.
No. ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½covers your first-year BorderPass membership and study permit legal services. You only need to pay IRCC government processing and biometrics fees (if applicable).
There are additional optional services that you can subscribe to like a study permit extension application, PGWP application, co-op work permit application, spousal work permit, visitor visas, or SIN # registration. For these additional services, a small administrative fee may be applicable to BorderPass and/or Government Processing and Biometrics (where applicable) fees.

Administrative fees are the cost of paying and administering government filing fees. This is only applicable for certain services, and you will always be able to review fees prior to completing payment

Applications are reviewed and submitted within 24 hours if the application is complete. If the application submitted to the legal team is not complete or there are legal recommendations, the legal team will notify you and will submit your application as soon as you provide the requested details.
​​A Judicial Review is a legal process where a Federal Court reviews a decision made by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to ensure it was fair and followed the law. It is not a new application - it challenges the process or decision made on an existing application. This is available in the event you ​​receive​​ a refusal on your study permit.

No. However, using BorderPass will provide you with a more complete, accurate, and professional application which is reviewed and submitted by a Canadian lawyer. No one can guarantee that an application can be approved as this is subject to IRCC discretion.
If your study permit application is refused, BorderPass offers judicial review services through a Canadian lawyer to assess whether the decision can be challenged. Alternatively, we can support you with reapplying to address the reasons for refusal and improve your chances of approval. As a result of our partnership with BorderPass, Judicial Review legal fees will be waived for applicants that file their initial study permit application with BorderPass.
BorderPass staff are extremely responsive and will be able to assist every step of your application journey. Providing information about your immigration status and journey is something you can choose to share with ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½staff. Your ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½staff will continue to be available to support you with immigration questions and all questions pertaining to your journey at ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½as you transition in, through, and out of the Institution.
All services on BorderPass are submitted through the Lawyers’ IRCC portal, and it is highly recommended that you track application or status updates directly through your BorderPass dashboard.

You will receive free annual access to the BorderPass Membership for the entire duration of your program. Upon graduation, you will have 16-weeks for free access to BorderPass to help you transition into your next step, at which point you may then purchase a small subscription to BorderPass for continued access and immigration support, including if you choose to continue using the services to pursue a PR.
